Students will participate in the "accelerated reader kickoff" next Friday (Oct. 8) from 2-2:30pm. We'll have fun with this reading program and kids can wear their favorite team shirt or jersey to school that day. Help us get the kids excited about reading!

PCSSD has an important issue coming to voters on the November 2, 2021 ballot. We are asking voters for permission to use mills (already approved) to build and improve facilities across the District. The Every Kid Outdoors program offers FREE National Park Passes to 4th graders across the U.S. This pass allows free access to national parks, including the 8 in Arkansas. The annual program is provided by the National Park Service and lasts until Aug. 31. https://everykidoutdoors.gov
September is National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month. Sleep is an integral part of a healthy lifestyle. Research shows that we should all be consistent with our bedtime routines, remove electronic devices from the bedroom, and make sure the room is dark and quiet.
September is Better Breakfast Month. Studies have shown that kids who eat breakfast have higher test scores and their schoolwork can suffer because they have a harder time focusing and can become more tired without eating breakfast. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence
