The MHS family came together to create colorful Christmas piñatas. Dr. Franco and her students sang in Spanish and broke open the Star-shaped piñata. Students also learned the symbolism behind the tradition. The piñata represents the Star of Bethlehem, the points represent the seven deadly sins, the bright colors symbolize the temptation, the blindfold represents faith and the stick, the will to overcome sin. ¡Feliz Navidad! 🪅 🌟 🎄

PCSSD high school students have the opportunity to serve as active participants in our school board meetings. Last night, MAUMELLE HIGH junior Reihanna Chatmon represented the student body at the December Board of Education meeting. We are so proud of her hard work and willingness to represent the Hornets. Way to go, Reihanna!
