REPOST: LETTER from RES PRINCIPAL DR. MOORE: UPDATE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR (JUNE 2020) https://5il.co/h1ql

CONGRATULATIONS ROBINSON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL 2019-2020 5th Graders! Checkout our 5th Grade Promotion Celebration. Thank you parents and students for your many contributions! Enjoy!! https://youtu.be/6QdO5P-6QLI #senatorpride #equityandexcellence

Beating the summer slide can be done by some simple activities during the summer. You could visit our local libraries to check out books or even take some classes. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

Every student should have their final report card. Parents of students in kindergarten and 1st grade received an email report card. Parents of students in grades 2 - 12 can find their child's report card in HAC. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

For many kids, wearing a mask might seem uncomfortable and scary. UAMS created book to help children adjust to why it's important to wear mask. It even includes activities to do with younger children.

The summer slide overwhelmingly impacts kids from lower income families more than others. It is reported that by the end of the 5th grade, students from lower income families are often 2.5 years behind their peers. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

ATTENTION RISING 6th GRADERS: Check your mail for your 5th Grade PROMOTION CERTIFICATES. They will arrive via the US Postal Service. #equityandexcellence #senatorpride

LAST CHANCE!! The final collection date for Chromebooks is Thursday, June 11 from 4-6 pm. To avoid any late fees, please drop off the device, charger, and bag at SYLVAN HILLS MIDDLE, ROBINSON MIDDLE, MILLS UNIVERSITY STUDIES HIGH or MAUMELLE HIGH. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

Teachers spend valuable classroom time at the beginning of each school year to catch up students who have fallen behind where they should be. It can take 4-6 weeks to re-teach students the material they forgot. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

By the time students get to high school, the learning loss caused by the summer slide can create a performance gap of 2-5 years. But simply practicing some skills will keep your student sharp heading into next year. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

The summer slide is real and students can lose more than 2.5 months of math skills, 2 months of reading skills, and multiple grade levels of abilities without putting what they have learned this list year to practice. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

Robinson Elementary staff missed ending the year with our students at school and in our classrooms. We're so proud of all of our students for their hard work this year. We can't wait to see everyone in the fall!

Many students have already closed their books and won't open them again until school is back in session. This puts kids at risk of falling behind and lower standardized test scores. We will provide facts and tips to avoid the summer slide here. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence
