📚 Today, ladies from the UAPB Alumni Association kicked off a monthly Book Club with our third graders at College Station and Harris Elementaries. Kids also had a friend scavenger hunt where they had to get signatures from the other school's scholars.

Fifth‑graders Ellen and Isabella inspired the crowd with a tribute to their school’s namesake: “We are honored to represent an amazing school named after an amazing lady, Daisy Gatson Bates… a trailblazer, a civil rights activist, a journalist, and publisher. More importantly, she is known for her role in education as a mentor." 💚🧡

-Government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, passport, school ID, etc.)
-Signed Social Security card
-U.S. birth certificate
-Non-U.S. citizens: permanent resident card or work authorization
👨‍👩‍👧 Parents/Guardians:
-Recent check stub or 2024 W-2 OR proof of public assistance (SNAP, TEA, Work Pays, Medicaid, SSI)

If not receiving assistance: documentation of household size, SSN cards for all household members, and proof of household income
